What does a Early Childhood Teacher-Full Time do at companies like ABC CHILDREN'S CENTER?
Assist in developing and implementing an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child in alignment with Early Learning.
Duties
Meet regularly with co-teacher to develop weekly lessons plans and activities.
Meet with program supervisor to review curriculum plans and activities.
Provide day to day supervision and support to teacher assistants, substitutes and
volunteers which include sharing daily program plans.
Set up and maintain a well-organized, safe, attractive classroom environment.
Develop a positive relationship with each child
Establish a positive relationship with each child's family and share about the child's day.
Ensure children are supervised at all times.
Requirements
High School Diploma
Child care experience preferred, but not required.
Ability to relate positively to young children, parents, and staff.
Demonstrate success in working as a member of a team.
Complete registration in DEL Merit system.
Must be able to pass DEL background check.
TB test (negative test results within the last year).
Ability to acquire basic first aid/infant CPR, BB/HIV, food handlers, 30 hours stars, within 60 days of hire date.
Be able to lift up to 50lbs
Be able to walk, squat, kneel, sit on floor, see, hear, speak with children to ensure children's health and safety
