Overview

Capstone is seeking a Desktop Technician to ensure that the company’s desktop computer systems are deployed and operating so that end users can perform needed duties.  This position is responsible for troubleshooting, and maintenance of software and hardware of the desktop systems within NETC. This position is located in Pensacola, FL.

Responsibilities

• Performs stand-alone and networked PC and peripheral equipment configuration, installation, troubleshooting and upgrading/repair. Performs Windows 10 Operating System (OS) and third party software installation/upgrades, configuration, backups and troubleshooting.
• Creates Windows 10 images used for rapid deployment/redeployment of computer systems. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves hardware/network issues; connect, integrate and remove computer workstations to and from networks/domains; and provide system testing.
• Reviews Windows operating system, anti-virus, firewall and other relevant logs to identify root causes of system malfunctions and irregular operations.
• Maintains inventory of desktop and laptop computers, monitors, printers and other IT related equipment.
• Prepares documents and coordinate with warehouse personnel for transfer of equipment.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum education and experience:

• Minimum High School Diploma. plus a minimum of one (1) year of college education.

• Three (3) years of experience related to Electronic Documentation, System Administration, Network Administration, Database Administration.

Minimum qualifications:

• Functional expertise with PC troubleshooting, repair, and deployment.
• Familiar with trouble ticket submission and tracking.

Certification:

• IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC or SSCP).

Clearance:

• DoD Secret clearance.
