We have an opportunity to join the Alliance as an Administrative Assistant supporting the Quality Improvement Department

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Reporting to the Quality Improvement Director, you will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties to support of the Quality Improvement Department. You will also provide administrative support to a work team, Managers and Department Director.

 

ABOUT THE TEAM

This position is in the Quality Improvement Department, which is responsible for ensuring the quality and effectiveness of care provided to our members. We manage and measure comprehensive preventive healthcare strategies to promote evidence-based practices and improve member health outcomes. Our team is collaborative, dedicated, and fun. We work hard, promote learning and encourage each other’s strengths in a professional and supportive work environment. We are passionate and committed to improving the lives of our members and communities we serve! 

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE 

  • Experience working with and supporting committees
  • Experience with taking and transcribing meeting minutes
  • Experience with meeting coordination, calendaring and scheduling
  • Experience facilitating projects
  • Experience working in the health care industry
  • Experience working in Quality Improvement

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Knowledge of:
    • General administrative procedures and standard business office practices
    • Proper grammar, spelling, punctuation and business correspondence format
    • Principles and practices of meeting coordination and scheduling
    • The basic principles and practices of project management
  • Ability to:
    • Effectively prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines and administer competing operational priorities
    • Develop a thorough understanding of the roles, organization, policies and procedures of the Quality Improvement department
    • Define issues, gather and interpret data, define options, and make recommendations for action
    • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Create forms, documents and correspondence, and compile reports and various information related to business operations, administration and other projects
    • Schedule, support, and coordinate meetings, including agenda and minute preparation and distribution
  • Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • A minimum of three years of progressively responsible administrative support experience (an Associate’s degree may substitute for one year of the required experience); or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying
