CLEAR Human Resources Consultants are a team of human resources experts advising our clients and colleagues on HR best practices and compliance. Human Resources Consultants provide guidance on complex human resource topics including employment labor law, multi-multi state policies, and employee relations.

Job Summary/Overview

Deliver exceptional service meeting CLEAR’s best practice standards and client contractual specifications while achieving service quality and client satisfaction targets. Human Resources Consultants help CLEAR clients maximize the value of their investment in people by providing human resources best practice and compliance guidance.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide best practices guidance and expertise to address complex HR compliance issues, pre-employment matters, discipline and termination procedures, leave of absences, policy development, national employment law guidelines, and other employee relations concerns.
  • Deliver timely and valuable human resource consulting to clients and colleagues utilizing CLEAR’s service model, templates, resources, and product suite in accordance with company guidelines, standards and processes to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Provide HR support based on the client interaction model which is dependent on the product and vertical. HR Consultants assess how best to deliver the HR guidance and support (i.e. directly to a client or to a colleague, depending on the issue, concern or challenge being presented).
  • Ensure proper and effective resolution of complicated human resource issues. Expand consulting capabilities demonstrating deep subject matter expert on complex human resources topics such as multi-state labor law compliance, wage and hour laws, workplace investigations and changing employment regulations.
  • Provide value-added human capital services by establishing a trusted advisor relationship with clients and colleagues to ensure client satisfaction and colleague support.
  • Participate in playbook, toolkit, and vertical specialty teams to build and demonstrate expertise while achieving service delivery objectives.
  • Demonstrate HR thought leadership by building and delivering HR trainings, writing white papers, articles, and drafting client and colleague compliance communications.
  • Build CLEAR capabilities and expand human resource knowledge and experience, by participating in professional development, training, and mentoring opportunities.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of and ability to apply excellent client service and consultative practices
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply compliant and best HR practices
  • Deep subject matter expertise in HR disciplines including employment law compliance, and multi-state regulations and complex HR topics such as leave of absence, wage and hour guidelines and employee relations concerns.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely, effective, efficient, and economic delivery of services
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • 5 - 7 years of deep generalist knowledge in an HR role
  • College degree preferred; MA preferred. Training, both formal and on-the-job in effective Human Resources Management practices required.
  • Professional Designations/Certifications: SHRM-CP/SCP and/or SPHR/PHR and/or college-level HR Course Certification.
  • Experience: Exempt level Human Resources Management generalist and/or specialist experience required.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic skills to effectively and efficiently perform the mathematical computation for pricing and conducting data analysis required.
  • Computer Skills: Ability to operate a personal computer to accomplish work and leverage technology to gain efficiencies required. Must be familiar and proficient with basic desktop applications including email, word processing, and spreadsheets. Skill with PowerPoint application desired.
