You will be part of an experienced team of onsite technicians and customer support team members that provides 24/7/365 support to ensure our customers have secure premium facilities for servers and equipment, emergency workspace and carrier-neutral network accessibility. Role Summary:

The Data Center Security Administrator will be monitoring physical site security and infrastructure. You will be on a team that communicates and interacts daily with customers and multiple levels of the company. We are searching for detail-oriented individuals with exemplary situational awareness, strong computer skills, and an excellent customer service outlook.
 
 
Required hours: Monday - Friday 3pm - 12am (midnight).  This is a flexible modified work schedule. Alternate shift coverage will be required. Prior to starting this shift, the initial training period for this position will be during the day: Monday – Friday from 8 am – 5 pm.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain building security in terms of people, facility, and information through gate access control, facility monitoring programs, etc.
• Facility infrastructure monitoring
• Serve as a general security presence and visible deterrent to client rule infractions
• Provide exceptional and friendly customer service
• Report any incidents, accidents or medical emergencies and respond to emergencies by following  training and documented procedures
• Manage shipping and receiving of deliveries
• Policy and procedure documentation

Requirements:

• Exacting attention to detail
• Ability to set priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work diligently and independently
• Ability to communicate intelligently and effectively with co-workers, management, and customers
• 2+ years customer service experience
• Stellar customer service skills; must be able to relate well to diverse groups of people
• Ability and willingness to perform physical security detail
• Ability to handle typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively
• Strong computing and documentation skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor with an outgoing personality
• Must be able to lift and carry large deliveries, walk, stand and/or sit up to 12 hrs. per day

Highly Preferred:

• Experience or interest working in a data center and/or technology
• Experience with Lenel systems

Working Conditions:

• Scheduled shifts to provide 24/7/365 coverage to support colocation data centers within assigned market.
• Availability for overtime requests, as needed. 

Physical Requirements:

• This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift, bend or stand on as necessary
