POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing the development of the company’s marketing program. Assessing existing and potential markets, product life cycle planning, coordination of products development, development of product strategies, definition of promotional activities, and product launch. Activities may include technical sales support, product advertising/promotion planning, developing, and implementing multiple channel programs, SEO/Website/Social Media development and directing the development of company market requirements for specific products or product lines. This role operates in a B2B environment with strategies and execution being directed towards the company’s distributors.
In addition to the traditional roles of a Marketing Manager, this role demands a firm understanding of automotive product data, particularly within the realm of Autocare’s ACES/PIES standards. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for working with Brand Managers on collecting and organizing product data, uploading data to our online product database, and keeping that data updated regularly.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related discipline required
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience and a demonstrated track record of accomplishments
• Knowledge of Automotive Manufacturing or Automotive Aftermarket industry
• Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
• Ability to think ahead and plan over a 1-2-year time span
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities; high level of multitasking required
• Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level
• Technical skills in strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, market research and planning and promotions/advertising
• Must work effectively with Senior-level executives and staff; must also be able to work independently
• Must have strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and the ability to communicate with a diverse range of individuals
• Work effectively with Brand Managers, Social Media Strategists and Sales to build brand awareness
• Excellent computer skills including all MS Office applications. (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required, heavy focus on data management
• Must have strong customer support orientation (for internal/external customers), demonstrate a professional demeanor, and the ability to maintain confidential information
• Proficiency in Web Development and/or Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
• Basic Photoshop/Image editing abilities
• Basic understanding of Macola ERP systems preferred
