GREAT LAKES COLD STORAGE Dock Coordinator - 2nd Shift Salary in the United States

Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Shift Manager the Dock Coordinator is responsible for overseeing dock flow, monitoring loading and verify accuracy. The Dock Coordinator is responsible for timely movements and the overall workflow of the dock.  

Essential Duties:

• Maintain an accurate real-time understanding of all freight and loading dock activities
• Monitor loading, selection and chases
• Regularly analyze and interpret data that may require immediate problem resolution
• Maintain loading dock area in a neat and efficient manner during periods of high traffic
• Communicating regularly with management, order selectors and ASF dispatch
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
• Pays close attention to product leaving the dock doors, scales and ensuring only the correct orders and product are loaded
• Helps assess and improve distribution including procedures, inventory opportunities and technological improvements
• Provide excellent customer communication, relationships, and service while ensuring staff does the same.
• Duties and Tasks additionally assigned by Management

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Working knowledge of WMS systems
• Accurate, neat and timely records are of utmost importance
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Able to read, write and communicate effectively, as it relates to the job and to safety regulations
• Must pass pre-employment testing (Drug Screen & Background Check)
