The Huron-Clinton Metroparks, located in Southeastern Michigan, is a five-county regional parks system serving Livingston, Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne counties. This premier park system hosts nearly 7.3 million visitors each year at 13 Metroparks covering 25,000 acres, including eight golf courses, two marinas, scenic nature trails, beaches, pools, educational activities and winter sports.

The Metroparks is seeking an experienced professional to serve as its Chief of Finance. Under the direction of the Director, this position provides executive leadership and is responsible for directing the fiscal and fiduciary responsibility of the Metroparks in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, guidance issued by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board, and other regulatory agencies in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the industry.

To qualify for this position, you will need a bachelor’s degree in a related field and ten years’ experience in financial accounting or a related field, master’s degree preferred. Applicants with eight or more years of being in a leadership role will be given consideration toward meeting the minimum educational requirements. Executive leadership experience is preferred.
