Ensures the safety and protection of customers, guests, employees, and assets, in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, polices an procedures. Patrols AISD property or conducts stationary posts as instructed and serves as a presence and visible deterrent to crime and rule infractions.
High School Diploma or GED; two years security experience. CPR/First Aid, NM Security Level III Certification. Must be at least 21 years of age. Current valid New Mexico Driver’s License with no arrests in the past year except minor traffic violations. No felony convictions or misdemeanors. Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
Knowledge of applicable federal, state, county, and local laws, regulations, and requirements. Knowledge of security operations, principles and practices including investigation, patrol, communications, records, community/public relations, and crime prevention. Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds and with co-workers at all levels. Ability to follow instructions in verbal and written format. Ability to demonstrate moral character, honesty, tact, fairness, lack of prejudice and desire to help when dealing with people. Ability to analyze situations and adopt appropriate courses of action. Ability to make intelligent and effective decisions in routine and emergency situations. Ability to prepare accurate, complete and legible reports and present detailed, accurate and objective oral presentations and response to questions. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other law enforcement/regulatory agencies, departmental staff, tribal officials, and the public. Certified in CPR and First Aid within three months of employment.
