Position Summary

Coordinates staffing to achieve maximum productivity and utilization of resources to effectively staff assigned cases. Serves as the point of contact for external nursing staff, client, and caregivers. Maintain constant communication with clients, caregivers, and nursing staff to achieve a goal of 100% staffing for shifts. Provides general administrative assistance to Branch Manager and Clinical Director on a variety of projects.

 

Essential Functions

  1. Coordinate schedules for clients to optimize coverage on assigned cases and update schedule assignments as necessary.
  2. Actively encourage and obtain staff availability for shifts, including keeping updated staff information on experience, shift preference and contact information. Exhibit effort to replace personnel when a call-out/staffing issue occurs.
  3. Assist in investigation/assessment of client needs and promptly seek solutions.
  4. Continually monitor and evaluate staffing needs and services provided to clients and update Branch Manager with recruitment needs.
  5. Update client records for staffing preferences, nurses trained to work the case, caregiver contact information/preferences, and staffing changes.
  6. Actively participate and support management with staff performance, evaluation, and efficient utilization of staff in order to meet company goals and objectives.
  7.  New hire in-home orientations with the client, new staff, and nurse conducting training.
  8. Understand and actively participate in company & branch financial goals/objectives including financial Key Performance Indicators.
  9. Actively assist branch team in recruiting, screening, hiring process and other duties as assigned.
 

Qualifications and Requirements

 

Qualifications:

  1. Prior experience in the healthcare field is preferred
  2. Must have prior customer service experience.
  3. Ability to conduct self in a professional manner using business decorum.
  4. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal), actively listen and follow appropriate channels of communication.
  5. Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail and adapt to change.
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems using initiative and sound judgment to reach quality decisions using objective information.
  8. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  9. Consistently demonstrates self-direction, discipline, and positive attitude in all aspects of work assignments.
  10. Ability to maintain rapport with clients, colleagues, and external constituents through promoting harmonious interpersonal relationships.
  11. Knowledge of and demonstrated the ability to adhere to agency policy and procedures.
  12. Ability to recognize policy or procedure violations and notify appropriate leadership.
  13. Maintain current knowledge of agency marketing and sales activities and available resources.
  14. Knowledge of HIPPA and ability to follow HIPPA policies to ensure confidentiality of both clients and employees.
  15. Ability to participate in on-call schedule rotation per agency policy.
 

Education Requirements:

        Two or Four-year college degree in related field is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  1. The person in this position frequently communicates with others
  2. The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time. Must be able to occasionally move about inside in the office.
  3. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
 

Environmental Requirements:

        This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers/scanners.
