Essential Responsibilities and Job Functions:Establish and direct the implementation of written policies and procedures that reflect the goals of the facility. Assist in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures and establish a rapport between departments that emphasizes teamwork.Assure that established policies and procedures are interpreted correctly and followed.Review policies and procedures periodically and make changes to assure compliance with current regulations.Ensure that patient’s rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to wage complaints, are well established and maintained.Maintain a good public relations program that serves the best interests of the facility and community alike.Recruit and select Department Managers who reflect the values of the organization and are competent in running their departments in accordance to facility policies and procedures.Regularly meet with Department Managers to ensure that each department is meeting expectations and operations standards.Review and interpret financial statements and other facility metrics to ensure operational efficiency.Oversee an annual operating budget for the facility. Represent the facility in Executive level meetings, as well as in dealings with governmental agencies, vendors, and other third parties that the facility does business with.Delegate authority, responsibility, and accountability to management level employees.Evaluate and implement recommendations from the facility’s committees.Education and Licensure:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty with a strong degree of professionalism. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent communication skills.
