Job Description
The Digital Marketing Specialist is a key member of the Jewish Federation’s Marketing and Communications team and is responsible for supporting a variety of customer-facing digital projects, including emails, web site pages and updates, forms, surveys and other digital content. The Digital Marketing Specialist works closely with the Digital Development, Graphic Design and Content teams to ensure that deliverables meet business needs and are consistent with Federation’s quality and brand standards.

Core Responsibilities
• Build emails using industry-standard tools (Mailchimp).
• Update content on Federation’s WordPress websites.
• Create basic event registrations.
• Build and manage customer-facing digital assets, such as basic forms and surveys.
• Provide ongoing digital support to team members, including basic training to resolve usability and accessibility issues.
• Assist in the integration of new and existing Federation applications.
• Assist in developing support workflows and processes as necessary.
• Maintain consistent communication with Data Services, IT, and other Federation departments.
Required Skills
• Candidate must be able to work in a highly collaborative team environment yet able to independently move projects forward and prioritize tasks.
• Provide outstanding customer service to requesters who are at different places on the technology curve
• Exceptional attention to detail and a flexible, problem-solving approach when faced with ambiguity.
• Experience with email marketing software (MailChimp, Constant Contact, Pardot).
• HTML/CSS experience; familiarity with WordPress and SASS a plus.
• Fluent in website standards-based design and support.
• Able to learn new software and willing to adapt to a dynamic environment.
Desired Skills
• Video, animation, digital photography and other multi-media skills is a plus.
• Familiarity with PHP, Javascript and jQuery.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
