MAINSTREET BANK Deposit Operations Manager Salary in the United States

Responsible for the overall coordination and management of the Bank's Deposit Operations functions in accordance with

established systems and procedures, as well as establishing and overseeing new initiatives.  Specific responsibilities include:

• Exercises authority of a manager concerning performance improvement plans and reviews, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations. Coaches, develops and inspires staff to maximize their potential.
• Oversees and directs daily deposit operations functions of the organization by determining workflow and making assignments related but not limited to wire processing, debit cards, exception processing, lockbox processing, Reg E disputes, large dollar transaction review and cash ordering.
• Administers department’s functions, ensuring compliance to the organization’s policy, legal and government rules and regulations by establishing, monitoring and maintaining policies and procedures.
• Develops, recommends and implements business plans, operational procedures and system utilization that support the division’s long-term strategic objectives and vision.
• Responsible for resolution of operational problems. Acts as a resource to other divisions regarding department operational issues.
• Develops and maintains relationships with industry groups and organizations to keep abreast of changes in federal and state banking regulations and ensures that changes are implemented in a timely fashion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Five to seven years of relevant work experience.
• Superior knowledge of the industry’s processes, procedures and workflow.
• Good analytical skills to determine areas in need of improvement and the ability to find creative solutions while considering all aspects, departments and individuals affected.
• Ability to recognize and focus on critical issues. Flexibility to balance and respond to competing demands within the organization.
• Excellent written and verbal skills with a demonstrated ability to create processes and procedures and to lead a project and communicate across a broad base of internal customer.
• Good knowledge of computer systems and changing technology, including internal bank software, Internet service offerings and various office productivity applications.
• Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
