MAZE THERAPEUTICS Head of Information Technology Salary in the United States

We are seeking a dynamic, senior IT leader who will develop and position our IT infrastructure to meet the demands of a rapidly growing clinical-stage biotechnology company. The successful candidate will be a key enabler of our mission to apply cutting edge techniques and data in the pursuit of new therapeutics for patients with unmet medical needs. The IT Head will bring experience in a growth-mode biotech that will be instrumental in helping shape our technical needs for scale up. The role is highly collaborative and will interface with clinical leaders, scientists, business leads and outside vendors to ensure that the company’s IT needs are planned for and met.

 Your role in navigating the Maze:

• Develop IT strategy and operations for a deeply scientific and data-intensive R&D organization, preparing the company for future growth and operation as a public company
• Lead strategy and implementation of enterprise IT projects to support scientific, clinical and G&A functions
• Be a strategic technical partner to R&D and project teams to ensure IT needs are met for early research and clinical programs
• Be the face of IT, responsible for the Technical Support Team
• Be responsible for contingency planning and maintaining a robust information security program
• Be a leading voice in our Enterprise Data Team, in partnership with other company data organizations
• Manage vendors, consultants and overall budget for IT infrastructure
• Champion the adoption across the company of best practices in data governance, data lifecycle management, and security

Your Navigation Tools:

• 5-7 years or more of experience:
  • Leading IT for a scientific R&D organization
  • Managing external relationships with vendors, contractors and consultants
  • Supporting data storage and knowledge management platforms, and tools required for the software development lifecycle
• Hands-on, proactive and detail-oriented approach to building and maintaining IT systems throughout the organization
• Demonstrated ability to scale up IT infrastructure and processes to meet growing R&D needs
• Strong leadership, project management and communication skills
• Customer service orientation and ability to work effectively across teams of scientists, clinicians, software engineers and business leaders
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or other relevant area
