SUMMARY: Responsible for set-up, take down, and sanitation requirements of evening reception for hotel guests

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sets up dining room area for evening reception
• Prepares and cooks food according to recipes
• Prepares food according to the menu and quantity needed for occupancy of hotel
• Beverage stations offering alcoholic beverages must be manned at all times during the event. At no time is a guest permitted to serve themselves
• Patron’s ID’s must be checked before serving
•  A valid issued state, district, territorial, possession, provincial, national or other equivalent driver’s license. A state issued ID with photo and date of birth, Military ID card with photo and date of birth, Valid Passport
• Must complete Alcohol Training, i.e. Brand Alcohol Awareness such as ServSafe, TIPS and all other training as required by the state
• Maintains food, supply, and equipment inventory weekly and orders as needed
• Greets guests and accommodates special requests as needed
• Maintains daily temperature and waste logs
• Receives, examines, and dates food products and supplies to ensure quality and quantity
• meet order requests and standard specifications
• Restocks food items during evening reception hours
• Cleans reception area, utensils, and kitchens at the close of evening.
• Follows company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management

QUALIFICATIONS :

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of three

months hotel food attendant experience or equivalent training and experience

• Must have the ability to read, write and speak the English language

Working Conditions:

• Will be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Will be required to work in a fast-paced environment.
• This job entails frequent exposure to smoke, steam, hot temperatures, humidity and extreme cold.
• There is also frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood and produce items.

Internal: General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Peers, and Field Operations at

the corporate level

External: Guests - To provide customer service

Vendors - To place and receive orders

The employee is frequently required to reach, bend, stoop, shake, stir, pour, carry,push and lift objects up to 75 pounds. There is substantial repetitive motion of the wrists, hands and fingers. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, ability to adjust or focus. The employee is occasionally required to use sense of smell.
