Business Analyst

PEF is seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst with 3 to 5 years of experience. This individual will contribute to the development of User Stories and other analysis deliverables to successfully capture and reflect the business requirements of our proprietary application. The Business Analyst will work closely with other members of the Business Analysis team, as well interact with QA Analysts and Developers. Candidate should be a quick learner, have strong communication skills and be self-motivated. We offer meaningful work, flexibility for work/life balance and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities include:

Participating in all gathering and understanding requirements, communicating requirements and designing solutions and supporting development and testing efforts, using guidelines and established procedures/best practices, including but not limited to:

• Gathering and understanding requirements
  • Build and maintain relatinships with business units and product development teams
  • Display a through understanding of stakeholder’s business so that requirements can be defined
  • Cnduct interviews and requirements sessions with a cross-discipline team to elicit understanding of business needs
  • Cllaborate with key stakeholders to help design and drive the functional definition of a solution that meets the program level objectives and vision
  • Must be a critical thinker capable f contributing independently and collaborating to drive sound solutions
• Communicating requirements and designing solutions
  • Write unambiguus, testable user stories with clear acceptance criteria; an integrated scrum team member to assure requirements are understood fully
  • Wrk as part of a Scrum Team and participate in scrum events including Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective
  • Practively communicate and collaborate with product owners, business partners, Scrum Master, and architects to build and define the Product backlog
• Supporting development and testing efforts
  • Answer ad hc questions and provide clarification and direction to development and QA teams regarding user stories and functions
  • Cllaborate with the Product Owner and Scrum Master in release planning
  • Prvide technical support to client application teams during the implementation of new services and subject matter expertise for support escalations

• Bachelor’s degree that includes some formal training in business analysis or equivalent experience
• Demonstrable knowledge with tools and processes to elicit and evaluate business requirements

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process is a plus
• Experience working with Jira, Confluence and Zephyr is a plus
• Knowledge of or experience with financial or investment applications is a plus
• Enjoys problem solving

The Business Analyst team plays an important part in our company’s product development process.
