The HR Department is an integral part of the Company's success. The HR Specialist will assist in the HR Departments daily operations to ensure timely handling of employee matters.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Abide by the Company's confidentiality agreement at all times
Maintain employee information such as personal data, benefits, performance reviews, and company property
Answer employee questions regarding benefits, policies, and other pertinent information
Prepare new hire orientation paperwork
Finalize new employee paperwork
Conduct new employee orientation and training in person at each of our locaitons
Assist with new hire processes and recruiting
Assist in the audit of HR records
Document all duties and maintain the HR job manual
Assist with benefit implementation during open enrollment
Attend additional training as requested by management
Create and/or revise forms in Policy Manager as requested
Assist with creating safety policies, procedures, forms, and manuals
Assist with chemical inventory annually
Assist with additional safety duties as needed
Personal Requirements:
Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
Communicate information and ideas in writing and/or verbally so others will understand
Give full attention to what others are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
Perform basic math
Interact well with managers, employees, and the general public
Possess a valid driver's license and meet the Company's insurability requirements
Travel to each store and stay overnight as needed
Work overtime, if necessary
Pay attention to details be thorough in completing tasks
Able to identify when something is wrong or likely to go wrong
Have knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, such as managing files and records, word processing, and other office procedures
Have a valid driver's license and meeting our insurance requirements
Education/Training or Experience:
High school diploma or GED required
Associates degree/Experience in HR preferred
Intermediate to advanced computer skills required
