Variable Shifts

• Provides excellent customer service for patients, families, and co-workers by treating them in a respectful, courteous, and caring manner
• Greets and welcomes every patient, visitor, and staff to the unit
• Ensure the appropriate supplies are stocked on the unit
• Stocks patient rooms/carts as needed
• Deliver/pick-up special supplies from various areas (Lab, Materials Managements, Pharmacy, etc.) as needed
• Orders supplies – dietary/floor stock/office supplies
• Reviews expiration dates of stock items in the unit and ensures expired items are removed from service and discarded as appropriate
• Files patient documents and send documents for scanning to the electronic medical record
• Assists with compliance checklists
• Has working knowledge of equipment and procedures to the unit they are assigned
• Response to call lights and convey concerns/issues to nursing staff
• Responsible for moving supplies and equipment to and from various departments
• Assist nursing staff in transporting patients to their destination
• Performs other duties as assigned

• High school graduation or equivalent, formal or on the job training
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Organization and computer skills preferred
• Ability to multi-task preferred
