What does an Health & Safety Specialist do at companies like TABLE MOUNTAIN CASINO?
Assist to promote a safe work environment for all Team Members and ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations. Develop, deliver and continuously improve health and safety training and communications.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Risk Manager in coordinating safety programs, safety committees meetings and related communications.
- Responsible for property-wide OSHA compliance while assisting to ensure compliance with all other Health & Safety regulations, policies and standards.
- File and process documents associated with Workers Compensation claims and maintenance of all records Assist the Risk Supervisor with the Workers Compensation Program. Assist Risk Supervisor with safety committee meetings and coordinate safety recognition programs for Team Members.Maintain Vendor Certificates of Insurance.
- Maintain and facilitate safety training including new hire orientation and departmental training checklists. Assist in developing programs to effectively communicate safety programs and promote safety culture to all levels of team members.
- Coordinate and maintain records of Random Drug Testing Program.
- Assist Risk Manager to maintain current master file of Safety Data Sheets.
- Maintain updated vendor certificates of insurance.
- Attend required OSHA training and any other applicable continuing education.
- Coordinate the annual Health and Safety Fair.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field is required, unless waived by Executive Management.
- One (1) year of experience in Human Resources and/or risk & safety field is required. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required and HRIS systems experience is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills are required.
