THERMO FISHER SCIENTIFIC INC. Accountant/Financial Analyst Salary in the United States

This position is the Financial Analyst/Accountant who financially supports 3 factories located in California, Texas & Massachusetts. The person is the financial partner to these Operations organizations that completes accurate accounting /financials and provides financial reporting and financial analysis to the management teams. The person also contributes to streamlining processes that result in operational efficiencies and is a hands-on financial and operation team member of all three factories.

The responsibilities are:

* Monthly Accounting close

* Operations Financial reporting

* General accounting including Cost Accounting

* Monthly Forecasting

* Annual budgeting

* Inventory management

* Driver of operational efficiency

* Operating expense control

* SOX compliance to policies

The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education & experience:

* Accounting/Finance degree

* 3 years + in Accounting field, including Cost Accounting

* Good knowledge & understanding of US GAAP

* Ability to work under pressure

* Effective verbal and written communication skills

* Team player

* Ability to work in more than one ERP system

* Ability to travel at least 25% of the time
