University Eye Specialists, P.C. is a group of experienced, caring physicians who have been providing comprehensive eye care of the highest quality for over 40 years.

We serve all of Western New York and Northern Pennsylvania, with our offices in five Western New York communities: Batavia, Dansville, Lakeville, Perry and Warsaw.

University Eye Specialists, P.C. provides the most up-to-date eye care, from routine eye exams to the most complex eye surgeries. Our highly experienced doctors cover a wide range of subspecialties within ophthalmology, including retina, glaucoma, cataract, oculoplastic and laser surgeries.


Medical (Ophthalmic) Technicians Main Duties:

  • Interview Patient, perform initial workup on patients as well as diagnostic tests under the direction of the physician.
  • Act as a scribe while physician examines patient entering data into electronic medical records, oversees patient flow.
  • Assisting physicians with in-office procedures ensuring proper informed consent is obtained, sets up and cleans up from procedures.
  • Assists with patient education.
  • Complies with all practice procedures and protocols. Complies with State and Federal regulations.
  • Maintains positive attitude consisting of cooperation, self-motivation, courtesy, and professionalism.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/ GED required.
  • Certification through JCAHPO Helpful
  • Advanced Computer Skills
  • Medical Terminology Knowledge Preferred
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include nights and Saturdays. 

 

Willing to train motivated candidates.
