Description

 

Zions Bancorporation is currently accepting applications for an ACH Specialist located in West Valley City, Utah. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm.

 

The ideal candidate for this position will have the skills and experience necessary to:

  • Accurately perform functions related to ACH transactions in compliance with regulatory and bank policies and procedures.
  • Be responsible for daily Automated Clearing House Origination procedures, including processing files from clients and internal systems, returns, reversals, rejects, death notification entries, reclamations, perform OFAC verification, process exception items, implement and maintain ACH contract setups for ACH Origination clients.
  • Pull daily reports and review them, reconciliations, and data entry all in accordance with bank and regulatory guidance.
  • Learn and understand Federal Regulation E, The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and NACHA Operating Rules and Guidelines.
  • Manage workflow to optimize efficiency in day-to-day activities.
  • Identify customer and business partner needs using effective troubleshooting methods.
  • Perform transactional research, problem solving, and some technical issues.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to bank clients and business partners including; Treasury Management, Exceptions, Customer Care Center, and Branch employees.
  • Respond to inquiries both verbally and in writing positively and professionally.
  • Answer telephone and greet customers and business partners in a polite and courteous manner.
  • Determine trends and variances in daily processing and identify areas in which positive changes can be made.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

 
  • Requires High School diploma or equivalent and some experience in processing and transmitting files or ACH systems, accounting, banking or other directly related experience.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting, balancing, banking and electronic payment processing. 
  • Must have good communications, customer service and PC skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, resolve issues with assistance/direction.
