The Masonry Supervisor requires a thorough knowledge of all types, shapes, and brands of bricks, mortars, and patching materials, and how to reline the ladles, tundishes and the furnace. Supervises and directs a bricklaying crew and other personnel engaged in a variety of melt shop and refractory functions. Being a Masonry Supervisor lead and direct the work of others. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. In addition, Masonry Supervisor typically reports to the Melt Shop General Supervisor or Maintenance General Supervisor. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Thorough knowledge of the team processes. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor.
