They are fully competent in all technical aspects of assisted reproductive technology as well as capable of managing the workflow of the lab. The senior embryologist is responsible for monthly reporting to the offsite laboratory director. They work closely with their lab staff, clinical nurses, physicians, as well as the practice manager of the fertility department.
