Provide technical guidance and training to staff, research and teaching assistants, and faculty on laboratory procedures and equipment, and maintain performance with specific operational standards, collaborate and coordinate with faculty and lab staff to ensure proper and timely set-up of labs, contributes to the conduction of moderately complex scientific experiments, research and approve supplies and equipment purchases, stay abreast with new tests, procedures and technology in the field, know and effectively use fundamental concepts, practices and procedures, supervise, assign duties, and instruct lab staff (student and non-student) in the preparation of chemicals and other instruction materials, clean-up procedures, safety precautions and emergency procedures, and attend, arrange and coordinate meetings with faculty and lab staff as required.
