Who you are: As a Senior Midrange Engineer at Frost, you will be responsible for planning, designing, configuring, optimizing, and maintaining Linux OS environments and applications across the organization. You will analyze and resolve complex application issues. You will be responsible for ensuring a scalable, secure, and redundant Linux infrastructure that complies with Frost specifications and security standards. What you’ll do: Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve the most complex escalated Linux related tickets and issue. Perform root cause analysis, establish return to service, and document resolution strategies Collaborate with other IT teams, management, and lines of business to provide advanced troubleshooting assistance for large-scale outages and implement Linux infrastructure and security needs for cross-functional projects across the organization Develop automation tools to enhance the provisioning, management, and administration of Linux infrastructure and Linux security in a repeatable, standardized, and efficient manner Identify projects to enhance Linux systems and applications across the organization Make recommendations to management and implement Linux enhancement projects Develop and maintain documentation and procedures for Linux engineering and administration Maintain an in-depth knowledge of current and emerging Linux principles and industry standards Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes What you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, in a related field, or equivalent experience 5 years of experience in Linux and/or engineering Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi/vCenter Experience in one or more scripting/programming languages (Python, Bash scripting, KornShell scripting, Sed, Awk, Perl, or Java). Experience with Git (Bitbucket, GitLab, or GitHub) Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Chef or Ansible Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft computer applications Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes.
