The Budtender is a motivated professional who is passionate about working in the cannabis industry and is committed to delivering the best possible customer service by remaining consistent to the company brand and expectations. This individual is responsible for knowing the product, affects, dosing, titrations, methods of consumption, quality metrics, and industry trends The Budtender’s number one goal is to provide exemplary service to our customers regardless of the situation. They must take ownership for driving results, ensuring consistent customer satisfaction, excellent product knowledge and maintaining knowledge of all state and local regulations.
This position reports to the General Manager and to the Lead Budtender when General Manager is not on duty.
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service by answering questions appropriately in person, phone and online (as applicable)
- Adhere to all company policies and MED rules and regulations
- Remain knowledgeable of all current products carried through Learn Brands and peer to peer training
- Maintain store visual standards through daily stocking, cleaning and sanitation
- Complete customer sales accurately through POS following company policies and MED rules and regulations
- Maintain store inventory through accurate sales, product handling and waste
- Accurate cash handling
- Work as part of a team to ensure every customer’s satisfaction, sales goals and timelines are met
- Able to work on your feet for 8 - 12 hours per day
- Adhere to break and lunch schedule for optimal customer experience
- Adhere to personal hygiene policy
- All other job duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of prior retail experience
- Must be able to communicate written and verbally in English
- Cash handling experience is preferred; must be able to do basic math as needed for customer transactions
- Must have open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must have or be able to acquire a Colorado MED badge
- Regular and on-time attendance
- Able to lift and move up to 50lbs occasionally
