What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Advocate position at 180 Degrees Inc?
***Sign on Bonus of $600 (Half paid out at 3 months and other half at 12 months by meeting the hour requirement)
Provide daily case management to residents
- Be a positive role model for the youth and resolve conflict in a constructive manner.
- Take crisis calls, conduct call screenings, intakes and discharges.
- Support daily case management goals for the youth.
- Teach and model the skills necessary to maintain good health through the teaching of healthy eating habits.
- After training provide passing medication through our Medication Administration policy using proper documentation.
- Provide concise communication via case notes, staff logs, phone contacts, resident files, medical administration forms, etc.
- Display teamwork through supportive communication, participation in the development of case management plans and attending staff meetings.
- Maintain appropriate involvement in daily and recreational activities with the youth through positive role-modeling, sportsmanship and safety.
- Driving and/or transporting youth as needed.

- Meet the Minnesota Department of Corrections rule 2960 standards for Group Residential Programs and all other applicable agency standards.
