We are a lively and motivated team looking for a patient care coordinator to maintain our Escondido location. Our growing audiology practice has been serving the community for almost 40 years. Job Responsibilities
Greet visitors as soon as they enter and help them with the necessary paperwork- field questions and ensure fast and appropriate assistance.
Collect information from patients, including insurance information, money, and contact information to put into company’s software system.
Answer the telephone, make outbound calls, and respond to voicemails in a timely manner.
Maintain office inventory, ensuring there are always efficient levels of administrative supplies and other office expendables.
Assist providers with responding to correspondence, including email, faxes, texts and letters
Maintain medical record database to ensure patient information is kept up to date, and provide patient information to other provider offices including referring providers and other interested and authorized parties.
Perform additional administrative functions when needed, which can include providing patients with follow-up information and contacting patients to collect invoice payments.
Open and close the office each day: maintain office cleanliness and readiness.
Scans paperwork, documents, and invoices into patient's chart.
Works as a liaison between the patient, other patient care coordinators, providers (Audiologists), and owners.
Monitor email and respond as necessary, including booking appointments.
Job Skills & Qualifications Required:
High-school diploma
Customer service or relevant experience desired.
Friendly demeanor and positive attitude are a must.
Proficient computer skills.
The ideal patient care coordinator comes to work each day with a can-do attitude and exhibits excellent attention to detail, follow through, and works well as a member of a team.
