As an AmeriPro EMS HR Generalist, your fundamental responsibilities of the HR Generalist are to function as the central point of contact for all employees of the organization on a wide range of human resources activities. As a HR Generalist, you must be an excellent communicator (verbal and written) and be able to work in a high pace, high pressure environment with the ability to respond appropriately within the guidelines defined by management. You must be able to work with limited supervision, while also being receptive and able to implement resolution to constructive feedback. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of HR policies and procedures and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, HR and Timekeeping databases.
  • Initiate the process for login credentials for employees.
  • Assist with New Employee Orientation as needed.
  • Act as point of contact for employee inquires and provide support in resolving issues and conflicts.
  • Promote positive employee relations and maintain a high level of employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Support managers in the implementation of performance management systems.
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Represent the organization professionally and appropriately.
  • Ability to work in and participate in a team environment.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications/Education/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a generalist role within HR.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR principles and practices.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • High level computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team Success Oriented.
  • Strong ability to multi-task at a high pace environment.
  • Ability to uphold standards of practice and education.
  • Ability to adhere to standards of personal ethics, on and off duty, which reflect credit upon the profession.
  • Does not use professional knowledge and skills in any enterprise detrimental to the Company or to the public well-being.

Working Environment

Most work will be performed in the office areas. An open cubical type of office environment may be used, frequent interruptions, work pressure and irregularities in the work schedule are expected. Employees are continuously faced with several projects considered to be high priority. Employees are subject to continually changing deadlines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be required to travel and attend both regular and unscheduled meetings, some of which take place outside of regular working hours.

Physical Requirements

The employee is regularly required to use hands, fingers, and reach with hands and arms; must be able to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is required to sit for extended periods; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may often lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
