We have opportunities for JUNIOR / GRADUATE CHEMISTS, within both our Powders and Adhesives products teams. Working under the direction and coaching of the R&D Manager and a team of experienced Chemists, you will undertake formulation tests and evaluations, results analysis and results reporting, and participant in new product development. You will be a graduate in Chemistry, Polymer Science or Materials Science, with 0-2 years relevant experience.
This is a full-time position to be based at our Corporate campus and R&D facilities, 20-minutes North of Pittsburgh International Airport.
Key responsibilities
- Research and Development of cement-based products or liquid based adhesives
- Set up and operate laboratory equipment for analysis and physical testing
- Utilize correct processes from clearly described methods, past practices or instruction
- Ensure observations and conclusions are well organized, reported and documented
- Work individually or in teams to meet schedule and deadlines
- Accurately record and report experimental data according to established guidelines
- Understand and appropriately use Material Data Sheets
- Use chemicals, materials and equipment safely, following Chemical Hygiene Plan, lab SOPs, and lab procedures
