Ignite Digital MediaTeacher
Position Purpose
Under the general supervision of the Ignite Principal, facilitate student success and growth in academic, technical and interpersonal skills through the implementation of district approved curriculum; document teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; address specific educational needs of individual students and create a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment; and provide feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
Essential Functions
- Create and maintain professional relationships with students.
- Facilitate a profession-based model classroom.
- Support students on professional projects in the areas of Digital Marketing, Social Media, content creation and publishing, producing and managing digital content
- Establish and conduct a professional environment for the students.
- Collaborate with the Northwest Arkansas Community College to meet requirements for students to earn concurrent credit
- Communicate with productions, media, marketing professionals and experts to establish mentorships and internships for students.
- Support students in the creation and maintenance of Ignite Marketing assets
- Speak to groups about the Ignite Professional Studies Program.
- Engage with professional organizations that promote digital media professions.
- Follow the school's policies and procedures for grading.
- Maintain and sustain a strong local advisory group.
- Recruit students for the Digital Media career strand.
Additional Duties
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Ignite Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Equipment
Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machines, and telephone.
Travel Requirements
Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiating instruction based on student learning styles.
- Knowledge of industry standards in graphic design, Adobe software, photography, videography, web design and layout, social media marketing
- Knowledge of digital media curriculum and concepts.
- Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and the formulation of action plans.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.
- Ability to use computer network systems and software applications as needed.
- Ability to organize and coordinate work.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
- Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards
Works in standard office and school building environments.
Certification/License
Arkansas Teaching License or Technical Permit required.
Education
- A degree from an accredited college or university in digital media or related field is required.
- A Masters Degree in a digital media related program is preferred.
Experience
Successful work experience in the digital media field is necessary.
