Sales Representative Midlothian-based Capitol Granite, the leading manufacturer and installer of granite, quartz and solid surface countertops in central Virginia is seeking an experienced Sales Representative.
Territory, Central Virigina Job Purpose:
Grow company organically through sales to new customers base by prospecting, developing relationships, undercovering needs and selling value.
Duties:
* Identifies development potential in accounts by studying current business; interviewing key customer personnel and company personnel who have worked with customer; identifying and evaluating additional needs; analyzing opportunities.
* Initiates sales process by building relationships; qualifying potential; scheduling appointments.
* Develops sales by understanding needs; explaining product and service enhancements and additions; introducing new products and services.
* Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products
* Prepares customer quotes and negotiates sales within company pricing guidelines with back office support.
* Closes sales by overcoming objections; preparing contracts.
* Works closely with Accounting/Credit, Customer Service, CAD/Templating, Production, and Installation to ensure a positive customer experience.
* Services existing accounts and new accounts in territory.
* Contributes information to sales strategies by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled; monitoring competitive products; analyzing and relaying customer reactions.
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
*Active member in local Trade organizations

Minimum 7 - 10 years sales and account development experience.
Prefer knowledge of construction and home improvement products and services for kitchen and bath applications.
