Wage band range $75,0000.00 - $110,000.00 annually. However, starting pay is ultimately determined by the scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity.

Under the direction of the Chief Operations Officer, the Business Development Representative is responsible for communicating with all active and potential clients and referring parties the quality and breadth of Camino a Casa, and Camino Education services. The representative will engage in outreach efforts to establish rapport and determine families/referring parties' needs and communicate those needs with our Admissions team. Provide feedback from referring parties to the Admissions and Chief Operations Officer to improve communication with school districts, SELPAs, hospital systems, and other referral resources while promoting and educating parties on our valuable services. The Business Development Representative carries out Casa Pacifica's mission as it relates to the Camino a Casa and Camino Education programs and Casa Pacifica in general. The goal is to achieve the best outcomes for youth and their families, strengthen referral partnerships, and ensure a competitive presence in the market.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (illustrated by typical activities):

  • Research, identify, and complete outreach with potential referring parties to establish an active referral relationship with Casa Pacifica.
  • Identifies new referral customers and collects information to assist in qualifying the referral potential of each client.
  • Works with current referral clients to continually qualify referral potential of each customer.
  • Completes pre-call planning and establishes an agenda for each meeting/call.
  • Transitions referral sources and clients to the admissions department as needed.
  • Schedule and conduct networking and in-service meetings with identified referring parties/clients.
  • Facilitate a warm hand-off with admissions while fostering an active referral resource.
  • Completes monthly reports as requested, weekly updates, and participates in morning admissions calls.
  • Completes reports, tours, projects, and presentations as needed.
  • Create a development plan to promote programs; collaborate with other Casa Pacifica team members regarding outreach plans and activities.
  • Participate in assigned team meetings to ensure the completion of the development plan and/or its revision as needed.
  • Participate in weekly check-ins with the Chief Operations Officer to share information, concerns, progress, goals, and assignments.
  • Attends and participates in monthly operations meetings by sharing outreach efforts and providing relevant feedback to colleagues.
  • Regularly attend local networking meetings to represent and provide education about our programs and services.
  • Identify and attend conferences to promote our services; complete registration, travel arrangements, and marketing materials in advance and support clinicians who may be presenting.
  • Staff outreach booth during the conference.
  • Follow up with referral sources that attended the conference within ten (10) business days.
  • Prepare and maintain a balanced annual budget and provide recommendations on how best to use financial resources to promote our programs.
  • Provide recommendations for developing and implementing business development goals, strategies, and action plans to respond to market trends and demands and promote the success of all clinical programs.
  • Identifies concerns/issues that affect the census (negative and positive) and develops action plan(s) to assist in increasing the census
  • Remain educated and informed with respect to the market position of various clinical programs.
  • Makes recommendations with respect to the development of new programs or services that will be profitable for the agency.
  • Accurately represents the goals and activities of the department both internally and externally.
  • Complete other duties as requested.
  • Partner with the development team to ensure current marketing campaigns are relevant to mental health needs.
  • Meet with the marketing team biweekly (or as needed) to develop strategies for email campaigns, marketing materials, etc.

Position requires staff must be at least 21 years of age. Completed and cleared Livescan, criminal statement, health screening with TB test.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Six years of marketing experience within the healthcare industry, preferably in the psychiatric or mental health field.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have good, understanding of child and adolescent development, behavior modification, teamwork, and group process. Must have aptitude to deal with severely emotionally disturbed adolescents in a variety of settings. Ability to use various computer software (Microsoft Office 365). Should have strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills; strong human-relations/interpersonal skills; and impeccable manners. Bilingual (Spanish) is strongly preferred.

Valid California Driver's License with excellent driving record. Use of a personal car may be required, mileage reimbursement. Must have proof of insurance. Any changes that occur on your driving record must be reported immediately to your supervisor and Human Resources.
