Job Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator assists the Human Resources department with various projects, administrative tasks, and events.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Posts jobs electronically and physically in various places, websites, and social media
- Conducts phone screens, schedules interviews, ensures pre-employment checks have been sent and completed prior to hire
- Plans and executes new hire orientation
- Assists in the planning and execution of employee engagement activities and recruiting events
- Submits bills and expense reports for the department
- Responds to unemployment, employment verification, and other related requests
- Submits workers compensation claims to a third party administrator
- Coordinates flu clinics, employee discounts, and other miscellaneous employee incentives
- Ensures personnel and confidential files are maintained and compliant
- Distributes departmental mail timely
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- Highly proficient with computers, systems, and other related technology
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 or Google Workspace
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Communicate effectively and professionally
- Multitasking and prioritizing skills
- Eagerness and willingness to learn
- Ability to work, problem solve, and use good judgement
- Maintain a positive attitude to continued learning and support of the overall business
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 1 year of human resources experience required
Requirements
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as defined by the CDC
- Must have the ability to work from Middletown, Providence, and remote when necessary
Salary : $12 - $25
