Position Summary : The Intake Coordinator is an integral part of the Intake Team, which oversees the admissions and placements of over 700 children in four foster care programs : Family Foster Care, Medical Foster Care, Developmental Disabilities Foster Care and Therapeutic Family Foster Care.
The Intake Coordinator will work in collaboration with the Intake Team to ensure foster care placements occur to meet the needs of the children entering foster care.
Essential Duties :
- Match placement referrals with Foster Parents.
- Distribute intakes and all related emails to ensure the provision of all service referrals to case planning teams and staff members.
- Ensure furniture orders are completed, tracked and documented.
- Develop collaborative relationships with foster parents.
- Ensure tracking and completion of Putative Father Registry submissions including documentation and rates for new admissions.
- Complete Intake and Change of Status for admissions into Foster Care.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities to ensure placement, which may include 24-hour coverage.
- Attend meetings with the Administration for Children's Services.
- Serve as a liaison with the Administration for Children's Services Office of Placement Administration.
- Participate and attend internal and external meetings as required.
- In-person collaboration is an essential function of the job.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications :
Associate's Degree required

- Some experience with the child welfare system
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
