Field Marketing Specialist
Collaborate with manager, senior executives, and market leadership to plan, develop, communicate, and deliver all details of internal and/or external event experiences with Bank strategic objectives and business priorities in mind, and in support of employee and leadership development related programs. Serve as project manager and logistical coordinator for creative production of live, virtual and hybrid events, conferences, and meetings.
Position Responsibilities
Event Planning and Execution
- Consult, plan, and execute multiple events and sponsorships including but not limited to forums, conferences, networking events, trade shows and other meetings.
- Proactively consult with executive leadership and managers to identify, define, and activate all planned activity. Verify and manage calendar, budget, timing, and other executional parameters.
- Communicate to and coordinate the involvement of appropriate internal stakeholders to maximize impact and experience.
- Coordinate all event logistics by engaging and supervising vendors, contractors, caterers, display service vendors, audio/visual companies, and crews.
- Execute plans that may include coordination of meetings and communications in advance of the event and in support of the ongoing event promotion such as emailing/mailing, online event registration, invitee response management, organization of registration guest lists, on-site set up, take down and post event data analytics and reporting. Manage all display and promotional items inventory and ordering for region or as assigned per project or program.
- Effectively manage all projects within parameters of approved MARCX and ESG processes and procedures. Follow policies and procedures for contracts, legal, risk and compliance reviews as required. Manage client expectations on process and timing.
Strategy and Documentation
- Develop and strategize new ideas for event execution that create ongoing budget and operational efficiencies while properly aligning to the Comerica brand, both internally and externally.
- Verify and manage projects to budget parameters, track on all invoicing.
- Develop and document best practices; make continual improvement recommendations for enhancing the experience and improving production value.
- Document all event activity and generate regular reporting and recaps with analysis for management including measurable results as available utilizing internal software and systems.
- Input and update action plans throughout planning and implementation and post event report after event. Collect attendance data and/or utilize systems available. Manage assigned event communications.
Process Management
- Pro-actively manage planned activity and established lead times in order to improve turnaround time and minimize incremental vendor costs; also provide adequate and accurate information during the creation of creative briefs.
- Set appropriate expectations among internal clients regarding lead times and educate/manage those clients regarding creative development processes; effectively convey the implications when necessary.
- High School/GED, Preferred Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- 5 years marketing project management
- 2 years catering & audio/visual logistical coordination
- 2 years expertise in office products
- 2 years large scale conference and meeting coordination
- 2 years writing for event communications including invitations and instructions
- 2 years event webcast/streaming coordination
- 2 years budget management
- Preferred, CMP (Certified Meeting Planner)
- Preferred, PMP (Project Management Professional)
8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday. This position offers a hybrid work model that includes onsite and remote days as determined by the manager.
