Position Summary:

The Regional Continuous Improvement Manager will drive operational excellence across multiple manufacturing sites within our global organization. This position will lead the implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) and Operational Excellence (OpEx) programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing Lean 6-Sigma projects, conducting improvement events, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve sustainable results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and facilitate Lean 6-Sigma Rapid Improvement Workshops (RIW) or Kaizen Events across designated manufacturing sites.
  • Maintain attendee lists, prepare meeting materials, document progress, provide resources, and identify team leaders for improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) leadership to integrate safety evaluations into improvement activities and ensure compliance with 5S Safety targets.
  • Lead and support focused improvement events, ensuring project momentum and progress are sustained post-event.
  • Develop and implement improvement projects to optimize plant operations, including reduction of waste, inventory, lead time, and cycle time.
  • Collect and present operational excellence data, demonstrating improvements in productivity, quality, safety, and other key performance indicators.
  • Assist in teaching Green Belt and Yellow Belt classes, promoting continuous learning and skill development within the organization.
  • Network with CI leaders in other sites/regions to share best practices and build positive relationships across the organization.
  • Maintain alignment with organizational goals and values, while driving the adoption of Lean principles and methodologies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial & Systems Engineering preferred), or related discipline.
  • Minimum of two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Green Belt with a minimum of three years of experience; willingness to pursue Lean 6-Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Proven track record as a CI leader at a single site for at least two years, demonstrating the ability to drive sustainable improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills to define problems, collect data, and execute root cause corrective actions.
  • Ability to estimate financial savings and collaborate with accounting and management teams to quantify project impact.
  • Excellent team-building skills with the ability to influence others without direct authority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for report preparation and presentations.
  • Must be able to accommodate travel requirements with approximately 50-75% travel time.
