Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing front desk and scheduling staff functions at the main office.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall productivity of the scheduling department.
- Responsible for reviewing and analysing scheduling data and implementing processes to improve no show rates, reduce error rates, improve patient satisfaction, and reduce turn over within the department.
- Oversee efficient collection and database entry of patient demographics including insurance coverage.
- Oversee collection of co-pays, co-insurance and patient responsibility amounts per policies and procedures.
- Manage employees to ensure policies, procedures and processes are being followed.
- Assist in hiring department employees for all locations.
- Manage staff time off requests and create staff schedules based on business needs. Provide staff coverage to Regional offices when needed.
- Oversee physician schedules to ensure that schedules are full and appropriately scheduled.
- Participate in the recall, termination, reinstatement, physician change, and deceased patient processes.
- Develop and maintain an updated procedure manual for scheduling.
- Serve as the department representative at Leadership Meetings and other appropriate venues.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 3 years leadership experience OR 5 years of leadership experience in the discipline.
Qualifications:
- Five years in medical registration/scheduling setting.
