Warehouse Manager Department : Warehouse Operations
Location : Tucson, AZ Position Function The Warehouse Manager plans, organizes, and supervises the receiving, storage and distribution of all items received into the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona (CFB) warehouse, ensuring a smooth and consistent operation.
The position oversees a team of warehouse assistants and a warehouse supervisor, and has oversight of warehouse equipment usage, safety, maintenance, and training.

- The Community Food Bank is a drug and tobacco free work environment. Job Duties and Tasks Shipping, Receiving, and Warehousing Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for managing all receiving, put-aways, order pick, and shipping functions of the warehouse.
- Responsible for managing the maintenance and repair of all warehouse material handling equipment and ensuring that warehouse equipment is maintained in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Responsible for managing the accurate receiving of all donations.* Ensures proper product turns per FIFO or FEFO in compliance with warehousing and food storage procedures.
- In partnership with the Inventory Control Team, manages the warehouse inventory to ensure accuracy and to limit variances to an acceptable standard.
Oversees cycle counts and regularly scheduled inventory of all items in the warehouse.* Responsible for ensuring warehousing CERES transactions are completed accurately and daily.
Food Safety and Compliance Duties and Responsibilities Ensures that proper warehouse procedures and best practice standards for proper handling and storage of all food products are followed in accordance with requirements of CFB, Pima County Health Department, the USDA, and other regulatory entities.
- Ensures that warehouse equipment and work area cleanliness is maintained in compliance with all health codes and standards applicable to food acquisition, storage and distribution.
- Schedules, performs, and manages monthly warehouse self-inspections.* Responsible for following documented procedures for food safety compliance under the AIB compliance and certification program, including but not limited to : Management Responsibility, Training and Education, Self-Inspection, Written Procedure Audit Program, Client Complaint Program, Chemical Control, Allergen Control Program, Glass and Brittle Plastics Program, Cleaning Program, Preventative Maintenance Program, Receiving Inspection, Regulatory Affairs and Inspection, Food Defense Program, Traceability Program, Recall Withdrawal Program, Nonconforming Product Program, HACCP program, and Integrated Pest Management Program.
- Obtains train the trainer forklift certification and provides initial certification to all Operations Staff as part of their on-boarding process.
Provides re-certification and training after any equipment incident.* Maintains sufficient quantities of personal protective equipment (PPE) where necessary, and ensures that volunteers and staff are wearing proper PPE to protect themselves and our clients.
- Participates in monthly Safety Committee meetings.* Maintains, at a minimum, the following certifications : ServeSafe Manager Certification, Department of Labor OSHA 30-Hour Card, and AIB certifications for training and compliance.
- Responsible for overseeing warehouse pest control and serves as the warehouse main contact for the pest control vendor in regard to pest activity.
Reviews quarterly trend analysis for pest activity and takes proactive measures to eliminate issues as needed. Supervision and Team-Building Duties and Responsibilities Manages Responsible for maintaining excellent customer service relations with all external CFB partners, as well as internal CFB personnel.

- Creates an environment of engagement and solution orientation for warehousing staff.* Invests time with warehousing team to achieve staff professional growth and development goals.
- Holds regular staff meetings.* Manages volunteers and Community Service Volunteers in support of warehouse operations.* Attends meetings with other internal departments to increase collaboration and coordination.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Minimum Qualifications Three (3) years of a combination of direct work experience, education and other relevant experience in a warehouse or logistics-based setting.
- Prior supervision experience in a warehouse setting with five (5) or more direct report staff.- Ability to become forklift and other warehouse power equipment certified within 60 days of employment.
- 21-years old, as required by CFB insurance providers.- Current, valid Arizona Drivers License. Preferences Five (5) years prior experience managing people and programs.
- Associates Degree in Supply Chain / Warehouse Management, Logistics or related field.- Three to five years of experience in a food related industry.
Physical Requirements This position is classified as Medium work, as defined under the Code of Federal Regulations, Section, 404-1567 : (c) Medium work.
Medium work involves lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
If someone can do medium work, we determine that he or she can also do sedentary and light work. Work Environment Outside environmental conditions;
activities occur inside and outside.* Noise; there is sufficient noise to cause shouting in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
- Hazards, which includes a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving vehicles, working on high places, and exposure to high heat.
- Required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
