What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contact Lens Technician position at Confidential?
Our busy ophthalmology practice is looking for a qualified Contact Lens Technician to join our team! With over 50 years of service in the Palatine community, our practice is comprised of doctors and employees alike who strive to provide excellent patient care. Experienced opticians are encouraged to apply!
The job responsibilities for this position include:
· Greeting contact lens patients after their exams and accurately ordering contact lenses as prescribed by the doctor
· Maintaining the contact lens room by replenishing fitting sets, and stock of solution
· Completing I&R classes for new contact lens wearers
· Answering patient phone calls and returning voicemails in a timely manner
· Coordinating with the optometrist to provide excellent patient care
The ideal candidate will have:
· NCLE Certification (PREFERRED)
· Experience selling and dispensing contact lenses a MUST
· Experience completing I&R classes
· Excellent attendance
· A positive attitude and ability to work well with others
· Full time availability including Saturday mornings
This position’s benefits include:
· An hourly salary of $19-$20/hour (based on experience)
