Company's Corporate Headquarters is seeking to employ a full-time (Monday – Friday 8am to 5:00pm) IT/Computer Technician. Candidate will provide technical assistance to the company and it's system users along with our IT Management company. We are looking for candidates with strong organization skills such as being able to assist our IT Management company with inventorying of all company devices (Laptops, Smartphones, iPad, and desktops).
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a general understanding of the business structure and model.
- Maintain communications across all levels of the company and Company's IT provider.
- Actively participate in Company's IT Company’s Client Success activities.
- Support the Company’s IT standardization model.
- Evaluate the need for staff training, both individually and as a group.
- Ensure staff is properly trained in Microsoft 365 and all of its’ current features the Company utilizes, and identify opportunities for implementing new features.
- Function as the point of contact for breach prevention activities.
- Manage digital and virtual training programs.
- Be aware of the location and purpose of Company’s digital files.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a security culture.
- Consult with IT company to improve customer service and reduce problems in the environment.
- Document all calls, tasks and projects.
- Be familiar with and utilize IT Management Company’s ticketing system to track all open issues and document their resolution.
- Work with IT Management company to maintain inventory and asset tracking databases.
- Evaluate the company’s licensing needs and ensure that additional licenses are only purchased when required. Actively participate in onboarding and off boarding employees with phones, emails, company applications, laptops and desktops and other devices.
- Set up new cellular devices, and other hand held products with preapproved company applications utilizing mobile device management platform provided by IT Management Company.
- Prepare ahead of time, and possibly travel during company events so that the company’s hardware and software applications are properly set up in our mobile command centers.
- Travel to all Company locations as needed for IT purposes.
- Develop training materials and procedures in the proper use of hardware and software applications.
- Become knowledgeable of company applications so you can troubleshoot basic problems.
- Be the onsite “hands and eyes” for IT issues as directed by our IT Management Company.
Knowledge, skills, abilities and experience:
- 2-3 years experience in a similar role (preferred)
- Ability to complete assignments by deadline.
- Motivated, highly organized and detail oriented with ability to prioritize.
- Ability to work we independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in MS OFFICE 365 Suite, Windows 10 operating systems.
- General knowledge of Mobile devices.
- Must have a valid drivers license, with reliable transportation to and from work
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Personable and professional individual
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Normal manual dexterity is required.
- Normal speaking and hearing abilities to interact with others in an office environment, over telephone or other video conferencing platform.
- The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms and continuously repeat the same hand, arm finger motion many times as in typing.
