Position Title: Youth Services Program Manager
Location: Main Office
Reporting Relationship(s): School Services Division Director
Hours: 35-40 hours/week
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Salary Range - $58,500 - $ 65,000 Annually
General Summary
As part of the School Services leadership team, the Youth Services Program Manager is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive, data-driven, evidence-based strategies for improving mental health, social emotional learning, and suicide prevention among youth in Onondaga County and Central New York
.The Youth Servcies Program Manager directs and supports key programs and teams such as Suicide Safety in Schools, Youth Development Services, and others within the School Services Division of the agency. They are responsible for implementing programs, compliance, evaluation, reporting, and supervision of program staff. This position works closely with the School Services Division Director in developing collaborative relationships with community partners and working towards achieving division wide goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee day to day operations of assigned programs including ensuring adequate staff coverage.
- Provide supervision and support to program staff to sustain a high performance and collaborative work environment.
- Provide oversight and support to the recruitment, selection, and training of staff.
- Conduct new employee orientation to foster positive understanding of organizational policies and objectives in conjunction with the School Services leadership team.
- Monitor data tracking systems to ensure program compliance.
- Prepare and submit required reports to funders and other overseeing entities.
- Train in areas related to mental health, substance use disorders, suicide prevention and crisis intervention.
- Develop school and community-based partnerships, in conjunction with division director.
- Assist with research, grant writing and fund development for program development.
- Work with division director and other managers to maintain various service accreditations and manage site-visit preparation.
- Support division director in negotiating and/or approving contracts or agreements with federal, state and local agencies, suppliers, distributors or other organizational entities.
- Represent and promote Contact at community events.
- Perform other duties at the request of the division director.
Education Requirements
Master?s Degree in public health administration, counseling, clinical psychology, social work, not-for-profit management, education, or related field required. LCSW/LMSW strongly preferred.
Previous Experience Background
- Three years of operational leadership and management experience in a nonprofit organization, educational institution or other related setting
- Demonstrated track record in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Prevention specific education and training from OASAS and two years of qualifying prevention work experience preferred.

Additional Requirements
- Some evening and weekend hours are involved providing training or tabling events.
- Ability to visit school sites and other community locations.
