An HR Onboarding Specialist serves as the main contact and key support resource for candidates, hiring managers, and internal HR and business stakeholders, delivering a top-notch onboarding experience for new employees. They are responsible for overseeing and ensuring the timely and smooth execution of the onboarding process for each new hire.

- Oversee and execute the engagement plan throughout the onboarding process, including managing end-to-end onboarding activities such as background checks and I-9 verification, to ensure a smooth and positive start for new hires.
- Prepare and distribute onboarding welcome packages to new employees.
- Audit data, set up employee profiles in internal HR systems, and assist with the preparation and distribution of employee documentation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for both hiring managers and newly hired employees.
- Support all current and future P&C Projects
- Maintains knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to EEO, affirmative action, collective bargaining, unions, labor relations, and human resources.
- Act as a subject matter expert, offering recommendations to improve process efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all processes while maintaining high confidentiality standards.
- Challenge existing practices and proactively identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Explore and implement innovative methods to enhance the onboarding experience and ensure scalability.
- Handles routine labor relations and human resource inquiries related to policies, procedures, and bargaining agreements; refers complex matters to appropriate management staff.
- Serves as the initial contact and liaison for intake and assessment of employee complaints
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- 1 years of experience as an HR Onboarding Specialist or in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Preferred HR certification, such as CP-SHRM or PHR.
- Proven ability to interact professionally with employees and management at all levels.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify improvements and make independent decisions.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the capability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective team player with a results-driven approach and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Energetic with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening.
- Strong work ethic and collaborative attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Preferred experience with HR systems, particularly HR capital management systems (e.g., Workday).
