Job Description
CVS Health is offering a unique opportunity to be part of an extremely talented team within CVS Specialty as a Benefits Verification Representative. This position will require you to demonstrate strong attention to detail, utilize problem solving skills, and be a highly focused, performance-driven individual with a background in pharmacy or the healthcare field. You will need to have an understanding of insurance carriers and concepts including drug cards, major medical benefits, and per diem coverage as well as knowledge of government and patient assistance programs. In order to be successful in this role you must be able to verify insurance coverage for both new and existing patients and process patient prescription orders in a timely manner. You'll have to demonstrate excellent customer service to patients, healthcare professionals and insurance carriers.
This is a full time position. We're open Monday thru Friday from 8am-6pm and you must be willing to work 40 hours within this schedule. No weekends, limited holidays and covered parking on-site.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision insurance as well as a wide-ranging list of supplemental benefits and discount programs. In addition to sixteen paid days off for employees, we also offer ten paid holidays.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 17.00
Maximum: 27.90
Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months of experience with medical insurance, benefits verification, medical billing or a patient/ healthcare customer service.
- Must be live in Hawaii
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications or Healthcare related field.
- Pharmacy experience (PBM, Specialty, etc).
- Previous experience working with Prior Authorizations.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third party vendors.
- Healthcare related certifications and/or licensure.
Education
- Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required
