JRB Personnel is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk who is self-starting and detail-oriented. This is a full-time position and is based at the Corporate headquarters in Saginaw, Michigan.
Position Responsibilities
- Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Collections Manager and other staff.
- Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
- Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent
- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data
- Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits as needed
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted as needed
- Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
- accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
- Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
Position Benefits

- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- Ability to negotiate
- Strong customer service skills
