Senior Patent Agent

Eastridge Legal is supporting a Biotechnology Company in San Jose that is seeking a Senior Patent Agent to join their team! This role works directly with the Head of R&D and CSO. This position is fully onsite, but may consider hybrid for the right candidate.

Duties:

• Handle patent prosecution and maintenance
• Provide guidance to counsel on preparation of patent prosecution for domestic and foreign applications
• Works closely with R&D to assess patentability of new innovations
• Assist in drafting and reviewing related invention disclosures and drafting provisional patent applications
• Proposes strategies for developing the Company’s patent portfolio
• Maintain knowledge of relevant laws, regulations or statutes affecting the Company’s intellectual property

Requirements:

• Must be a USPTO registered Patent Agent
• PhD in Life Sciences
• At least six years of experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications
