Collections Specialist

The Corporate Collections Specialist is responsible for contacting customers and collecting payment on past due invoices. This position requires a strong individual with the ability to effectively communicate across multiple departments (Finance, Accounting, Sales, Customer Support, etc.). Individual will work closely with the Billing and Cash Applications functions to insure customer accounts are accurate and timely.This position will be located in our Dublin, OH office. Duties and Responsibilities: Make collection calls on past due or delinquent customer accounts. Review/cleanup of unapplied cash. Responds to customer inquiries relating to account issues and reconciles customer accounts. Identify accounts that need to be moved to 3rd Party collection agencies to collect on delinquent accounts. Communicate with Sales (Account Managers), Billing, Retention, Professional Services and Cash Applications regarding collection and customer account related issues. Answer incoming customer calls and respond to customer emails through A/R case queue. Manage customer payment plans outside of normal terms. Process daily opportunities for customers on A/R hold. Review and confirm software licensing can or can’t be extended. Manage lockout and cancellation processes for nonpaying customers. Monthly review of customers with old outstanding balances being reserved for bad debt.   Knowledge, Skills, Ability, Education & Experience: Minimum of at least 6 months collections experience required (Ideal Candidates are those with B2B Collections Experience). Commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work. Experience in recording information regarding collection efforts. Advanced customer service experience. NetSuite experience a plus. Working knowledge of SalesForce.com a plus. Advanced Excel skills a plus. Excellent attendance history and strong work ethic. Demonstrate persistence, overcome obstacles, as it relates to Customer relations. Strong organizational, communication and management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills -- both written and verbal. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be willing to work overtime as needed. #LI-CV1
