How you contribute

This role offers an excellent career opportunity for a talented Logistics Officer to broaden their skills set to provide a service across a range of business functions. As part of the Manufacturing Services Group you will be responsible for growing and delivering the logistics function for Emesent, providing great customer service to both internal and external customers globally in a proactive and positive way. You will be a key conduit within the business managing inward and outward goods, working closely with procurement, manufacturing, finance, QA and office management.

This role requires an excellent and enthusiastic communicator whose attention to detail, process and completeness is second to none. If you love what you do in logistics and are great at balancing customer need with rigor and process we’d love to hear from you.

Note this role will be based in Wacol.

• Efficiently and proactively plan and track the shipment of products according to sales and customer requirements utilising established process and procedure.

• Manage all required documentation and processes for export and import of shipments including export controls and dangerous goods shipment (batteries).

• Utilise logistics IT systems to optimise procedures to manage timings, customer fulfillment and logistics.

• Proactively communicate logistics delays, issues or variances both internally and externally.
• Follow and enforce process to enable completeness of documentation and shipping efficiency.

• Effectively communicate and build productive relationships with courier partners, regulatory authorities and third parties used to deliver Logistics function.

• Analyse data to assess performance, discover logistical problems and devise plans for improvements.

• Understand and oversee financial transactions related to logistics including expense allocation.

• Check in incoming goods against documentation ready for internal handover.
• Ensure quality control and health and safety standards are met.
• Prepare accurate reports for management.

• Previous Logistics export/import experience.
• High energy and incredible attention to detail.
• A strong desire and insistence on completeness and adherence to process while time is of the essence.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent ability to create, map and streamline business processes, and operate efficient business systems.

• Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes.
• Ability to plan ahead and also deal with unexpected changes with a positive and outcome driven mindset.

• Computer-literate with a working knowledge of logistics software.
• Outstanding organisational and coordination abilities.
• Strong customer service mindset.
• Experience in customer service (Desirable).
• Experience with Xero (Desirable).
• Experience with FedEx / DHL and dangerous goods logistics systems (Desirable).
