We are seeking an Estimator

What you'll bring:

• Organizational skills are required to perform project management responsibilities
• Time management skills
• Budgeting experience
• A successful candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience
• Supply chain management and sourcing methodologies
• Highly computer competent
• Must be able to read blue prints
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of sheet metal industry
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of completing estimates
• Familiar with JobBoss is a plus but can be trained on it
• Frequent updating of reports
• Common knowledge of interaction over zoom, at customer, and at Business unit
• Bachelor's degree preferred. High school diploma or GED

You must be able to:

• Determine most cost-effective manner to produce various metal products
• Make proper cost estimations, taking into consideration such factors as materials, speeds, type of cutters, feeds, and control system limitations
• Work closely with machinists, quality personnel, design engineers, and management to develop successful commercial proposals
• Create templates on all new parts and maintain existing ones
• Set-up and maintain estimating software including maintenance of database and system components Install/enter updates received via the Internet or from vendors for pricing and software
• Meet project bid deadlines and schedules
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of local market conditions including changes in material, equipment, and labor costs
• Must facilitate Project kickoff including working with personnel at each plant
• Work within Customer portals/software
• Must learn capabilities of the Business Units
• Complete Estimates
• Will have to travel to learn BU capabilities

Midwest Sheet Metal Fabrication Located in Hartford, Wisconsin, our modern sheet metal fabrication facility is designed specifically for rapid production at low cost. We are a short drive from the Madison and Milwaukee, Wisconsin metropolitan areas.
